Preparing for change

This new year I decided I need to be better at documenting life since it's gonna be a year full of changes. How exciting and scary!

First day of the year and we are crossing things off the to-do list. We got the sleeping arrangements figured out. I really wanted to buy a new bed for us but that wasn't going to work out right now because it's more important to take care others in our lives like Little Q and future house guests. So we bought a crib and a guest bed.
I am loving our crib! It's the perfect color and design, just what I wanted.

So here's to getting things done in 2016!

Here are a few things we are looking forward to or hoping to do this year

*the arrival of Little Q!!
*Spending time with family
*Beach adventures
*Mister turns 25

Small list but I'm sure we will add to it throughout the year.

All you can eat Pancakes!!!

Well Little Q has not made her grand entrance into the world yet so we went to IHOP to enjoy a nice Saturday breakfast of all you can eat pancakes. Turns out we  couldn't eat as many as we thought we could.
Here is mom and the first round of pancakes.
Then here is the final stack of pancake plates. Multiple servers kept trying to clear the plates from the table before we were finished. It was funny, it's not like there were THAT many plates.
It was a nice start to our weekend.

Twenty Eight is gonna be GREAT

Whoop whoop! It was finally birthday celebration day. Of course I have started a new job and have to work on my birthday but I am super excited that I have a job. Bonus I got to have a lunch date with the Mister. We went to Five Guys. We haven't been there in forever and it was delicious!
After work I came home to a surprise. The Mister decorated the living room  fast and furious style.
The Mister is just the best ever! Roads with stop lights, a birthday banner, & a blus streamer sky!
His cake surprise didn't make it here in time so he had to go with his second option for the birthday cake which he nailed it!
A strawberry donut cake!
Oh man it was Legendary!

We then proceeded to go to mutual where the kids put an Easter egg hunt on for te little ones. It was a success. They then surprised me with cupcakes. Love those girls.

Afterwards we came home to begin watching the Fast & the Furious series, which the mister got for me for my birthday. We are going to see Furious 7 this weekend!

It was a great day of celebrating, talking with family and friends, and feeling blessed. To another great year!

Swimming with the fish

We took another trip down to Monterey for another adventure.
After a month of preparation we were ready to do our open water testing to become scuba certified.
The weather was in our favor. Usually the water temp is in the 40's or lower, hence all the gear we had to put on. This weekend it was in the 50-60 degrees very nice and helpful. I still had a melt down in true water because all the gear we had to wear it was super heavy.
In the end we both passed. We saw a gigantic flat fish and a big rock crab. Can't wait to go scuba diving in warmer water.

State flowers

Flowers were blooming all over the place so we had to stop and take some pictures. Good thing we did because everything is now turning brown from the heat.
Taking pictures of the other taking pictures.

So in love.... With the blue bonnets
My awesome poses.

Poppies were every where. I convinced Jesse to stop at a patch along the side of the road to take some photos.

Yay for California
